Artist: Slipknot Title: Iowa Iowa Band: Slipknot Song: Iowa Album: Iowa Bassist: Paul Gray Tabbed by: Kam (a.k.a. brad) Hey...this song is a tough one to tab...kinda difficult. I did the best I could...i think it sounds good though... It is very awkward...i am including 2 versions...the one in drop B tuning...and another in a tuning I prefer to use, it’s and experimental tuning...to get the natural harmonic to ring out...it sounds better this way trust me, so try it out...cuz it’s kick ass... there are minor variations throught...pleez rate it!... a note in < > is a natural harmonic...if you don’t know what that is, place your finger above that fret on the string without pushing it on the fret... VERSION 1 TUNING DROP B (B, F#, B, E) Intro/Main riff E |----------------------------| B |----------------------------| F#|--~~~3~~5~~~-------------| B |---------------0~~~~~~------| Verse (I’m not sure which to use) E |----------------------------| E |----------------------------| B |----------------------------| OR! B |----------------------------| F#|--12b--12b--12--------------| F#|----------------------------| B |----------------0-----------| B |--7b--7b--7--0--------------| Riff between Verse and Outro (I’m not sure which to use here either) E |----------------------------| E |----------------------------| B |----------------------------| OR! B |----------------------------| F#|----------------------------| F#|----------------------------| B |--0b~~~~~~0b~~~~~~~~--------| B |--12b--12b--10~~~-----------| ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ VERSION 2 (what I prefer to use) TUNING B, F#, F#, B (the 2 “F#” are the same pitch) Intro/Main riff E |----------------------------| F#|--~~~--------------------| F#|--------3~~5~~~-------------| B |---------------0~~~~~~------| Verse (I’m not sure which to use) E |----------------------------| E |----------------------------| F#|----------------------------| OR! F#|----------------------------| F#|--12b--12b--12--------------| F#|----------------------------| B |----------------0-----------| B |--7b--7b--7--0--------------| Riff between Verse and Outro (I’m not sure which to use here either) E |----------------------------| E |----------------------------| F#|----------------------------| OR! F#|----------------------------| F#|----------------------------| F#|----------------------------| B |--0b~~~~~~0b~~~~~~~~--------| B |--12b--12b--10~~~-----------| That’s what I came up with...rate it if you would...it’s pretty *** good...i think...
