Welcome! I was a little bemused and disgusted when I saw that there

were only about five Guster songs for guitar on this site, so I am determined to tab every song that

guster has done (which will probably end up being one or two, sadly). So here is my shot at the well-known Airport Song. It's fun to

play, and I can see why they play it at every show. I saw them play it live once, and it was exquisite. Well, enough rambling. E-mail me

at zachman3423@hotmail.com with any questions, insults, concerns, comments, or compliments.

This is in standard tuning, and CAPO SECOND FRET! Or tune up a whole step if you are so inclined.

It starts like this, and the rhythm isn't exact; therefore, just listen to the song and play along.

E--------------------------------------------------

B-------------------------------------------------- Part 1

G--------------------------------------------------

D---------2-2---------2-2--------2-2----------- <----Play this four times. Then you do these two chords:

A---4-4--------444-------444--------44------

E-------------------------------------------- 2-2

(Strum them how they sound on the album.)

E---------------------------------------------------

B---------------------------------------------------

G---------------------------------------------------

D---2----------------------2----------------------- Part 2

A---4----------------------6-----------------------

E---5----------------------7-----------------------

^^^Repeat that part until Ryan starts singing. Then you strum these chords below. Once again, strum

as you so desire.

E---2---------2--------2--------2--

B---5---------5--------2--------2---

G---6---------4--------6--------5-- Part 3

D---6---------4--------7--------6--

A---4---------2--------7--------6--

E-----------------------5--------4--

And then the part they play for the chorus and at the end of the song (rhythm not

included):

E---------------------------------------------------------------

B--------------------------------------------------------------- Part 4. (Play Part 2 again when Adam sings "I'll be

G--------------------------------------------------------------- hiding in your dirty room," and "la-ti-da we'll stay

D---11-----------11-----11----------------------------- there till we bleed." Then go back to Part 4)

A---11-----------9--------9---------------------------

E----9----------- 9-------0----------------------------

E------------------

B-----------------

G------4-------- Part 5. This chord is played at the end of Part 3 at about 2:14 on the album. It only

D------4-------- happens once though, before they go into Part 4 and stay there until the sounds fades

A------2--------- away.

E------------------

Part 1--4x

Part 2--1x

Part 1--4x

Part 2--1x

Part 3--3x

Part 4--4x

Part 2--1x

Part 4--3x

Part 2--1x

Part 3--4x

Part 5--1x

Part 4--xxx <---Played until the end.
