Title: Strings in My Heart Album: Just A Moment Written By: Lyle Watson Copyright © 2000 Blue Bean Productions All rights reserved Tabbed by Andy Fischer a/k/a plaid_child This is an awesome praise song if you surrender yourself to the song like the band members do on the CD. Essentially, It’s the same 4 chords over and over again. The tricky part of this song isn’t switching chords; it’s strumming. It would probably be best if you just bought the CD to figure that out. All I can tell you is that usually on the “A” and “G” chords, he hits the Bass a bit before getting to the high notes. (He does that for just about everything during the bridge-like part…) Also, there’s this one part where he just bars a whole bunch of stuff and moves his finger down the fretboard. I guess I’ll call that the “bar thing”. ok? I hope all that makes sense. Have fun! Chords: D: 000232 Dsus: 000233 G: 320033 Bm: X24432 A: 002220 (pretty easy, eh?) INTRO: D G Bm A (x4) Verse: (D) G Bm A When I was made, formed inside my mother’s womb (D) G Bm A My maker’s hands, they made my mind and heart (D) G Bm A In our deepest parts, he placed these strings D G Bm A (D) Played by the truth of His word, His spirit brings Chorus: D G Lord play the strings in my heart Bm The ones you set apart A The ones only your hands can play D Dsus D G Lord play the strings in my heart A That echo in my soul D (strum once) D (G) Lord play the strings in my heart Bm A D (G) (Bm) (A) Lord play the strings in my heart Bridge-like Thingimabob: D G (Bm) (A) Set the beating to my pulse D G (Bm) (A) Sending life into my whole D G Bm This miracle we can barely comprehend A D (G) (Bm) (A) Yes I’m a miracle D (palm-muted G) (Bm) (A) I had 10 tiny fingers D (palm-muted G) (Bm) (A) I had 10 tiny toes D (palm-muted G) (Bm) (A) What these hands will make, where these feet will walk D (G) (Bm) (A) My maker only knows D G Bm (A) In our deepest part our maker placed these strings D G Bm (A) Played by the truth of His word His spirit brings D G Set the beating to my pulse Bm A Sending life into my whole D G Bm This miracle we can barely comprehend A D (G) (Bm) (A) Yes I’m a miracle D (G) (Bm) (A) Yes I’m a miracle ***After this you play the chorus again, using the “Bar Thing” on the first line instead of chords. Also, after you sing “that echo in my soul”, you sing “The ones only your hands can play” again. Is it confusing? It leads into an instrumental bridge where they let the saxophone go wild. It’s like this: (Bm) A The ones only your hands can play Instrumental bridge: D G Bm A (x2 kinda slow) Chorus x2 (once like before the instrumental, then once like the original.) (D) (G) Bm A D (G) Lord play the strings in my heart Bm A D (G) Lord play the strings in my heart Bm A D (strum once) Lord play the strings in my heart
