Half Way to a Hundred by Tal Hurley

C Am C Am G F Em

When I was a child time seemed to move so slow

Never thought about tomorrow, or where that I would go

But now that seems so far away, but still I live life day to day

I try to balance work and play, it's all the same thing anyway

G F G F G

But now I'm Half Way to A Hundred and I'm feeling like a child

Maybe that could be because I'll be here for a while after all

When I was a little boy it seemed so far away

I could not imagine growing up with no time left to play

I was born into a modern world of post war luxury

Mono rails and flying cars were all promised to me

Now I'm Half Way to a Hundred and I'm driving in my car

Guess I didn't want the things I thought that I would have after all

I wasn't sure we'd make it throught the twentieth century

I was taught to duck and cover when the sirens screamed at me

Thirty was so hard to see, I couldn't take it seriously

A mushroom cloud of doom and doubt was hovering over me

Now I'm Half Way to a Hundred and I'm feeling like a kid

Never thought I'd live this long, I guess I'm glad I did after all.

I always had it pretty good, a peacefull little neighborhood

I never had to go to war, now there's trouble at the door

God to school and get a job, raise a family, get a dog,

Buy a house and watch tv, there must be something more for me

Now I'm Half Way to a Hundred and I'm just catching my stride

If life's a roller coaster, than I really love the ride after all.
