STANDARD TUNING (E, A, D, G, B, E)

This song was written by me (I am guitarist/vocalist for catalyst) and has been recorded onto a CD, so it IS copyrighted. But feel free to play with it and use it, just give us credit. Thank you.

The following chords are to be played softly, in a pattern which accents the low strings at the beginning of the sequence and the high strings at the end. Strumming is the prerogative of the player. After I show you the chords, I?ll show you the strumming pattern I use.

The chords are various forms of ?C? and ?A?. Although I don?t know specifically what chords they are, they are rather pretty in and of themselves.

 |The C Chords|The A Chords|

e|---0----0---|---0----0---|

B|---3----5---|---2----3---|

G|---0----0---|---0----0---|

D|---2----4---|---2----4---|

A|---3----5---|---X----X---|

E|---X----X---|---X----X---|

Like I said before, strumming should be done softly, and in a pattern that accents the lower strings at the beginning of the sequence and the higher strings at the end.

Here is the pattern I mostly use when I?m playing this progression. I?ll do my best to tab it, but as we all know, playing something and seeing it written are two totally different things.

/ = Slide up

\ = Slide down

h = Hammer

X = Don?t play

e|-0-0--0-0?-0000/-0-0--0-0--0000\

B|-3-3--3-3--3333/-5-5--5-5--5555\

G|-0-0--0--0-0000/-0-0--0-0--0000\

D|-2-2-2---2-2222/-4-4-4---4-4444\

A|-3-3-3---3-3333/-5-5-5---5-5555\

E|--------------------------------

Repeat once, then switch to the A chords

e|-0-0--0-0--0000/-0-0--0-0--0000\

B|-2-2--2-2--2222/-3-3--3-3--3300\

G|-0-0-0---0-0000/-0-0-0---0-0000\

D|-2-2-2---2-2222/-4-4-4---4-4444\

A|--------------------------------

E|--------------------------------

Repeat this once as well, but when you start the repeat hammer on the B strings like this:

e|-0-

B|h2-

G|-0-

D|-2-

So the repeat should sound like this here:

e|-0000\-0-

B|-3300\h2-

G|-0000\-0-

D|-4444\-2-

Well, that?s it I think. Let me know what you think. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to email or IM me. The information is at the top. Hope you have fun!
