G Dsus4/F# G/F C2 D
Steadfast Stephen saw his chance to open wide
G Dsus4/F# G/F C2
Unveiling lies, delivering his skin and bones
D
Upon the hate-filled battle cries
C2 G C2 G
They rushed him and they stoned him
C2 D
But his sights were set on the open skies

C2 D G Dsus4/F# C2
I'm in the wake of martyrs gone before me
C2 D
Waiting to be tried
C2 D G Dsus4/F# C2
Is the strength and trust I have in You

Enough that I would stand and die?

Stand and die

(Redo intro here)

G Dsus4/F# G/F
Caught in Cassie was a candle,
        C2 D G
Burning from the wick of life
G Dsus4/F# G/F C2
She had found it when she finally turned to You,
D C2
That graceful night
C2 G C2 G
When they asked her if she knew you
C2 D
What else could she reply?

Chorus

G Dsus4/F# G/F
Now it's nearly twenty hundred years
C2 D
Since You were crucified
G Dsus4/F# G/F
With my heart and soul and all You gave me
C2 D
I would give my life

Chorus

Well, this is my feeble attempt at tabbing out this marvelous song.
There is a lot of hammering and pulling off going on in this song,
so listen to the song to figure it out. I haven't figured them all
out, so I haven't listed it. I also suspect that there may be another
chord between G/F and C2, but I can't get it if there is. I hope this
helps somebody out there :o) Feel free to correct this as needed.
