Lostprophets - The Handsome Life Of Swing + Interlude 3 Tabbed BY: Will Sharp Tuning : CGCFAD Email: chimaira_tool@hotmail.com This is 90% correct. It took me ages to tab so dont try an pass this off as your own work. NO OTHER tabber has got this right cos they can't listen. This was all figured out by ear, not by ripping off other people's tabs. Also, i dont have the effects to produce such a sound - Lee used a Digitech RP7 (now contained in the GNX series) as well as the Line 6 stompboxes, im sure there is an FX on the filter/modulator pedals as the sound produced isnt just from tremolo picking. For Guitar 2, you'll prob need a compression pedal to take the 'edge' off the sound. Ive included the live ending an some live variations to the song, based on the recordings i have an what i have seen live...have fun playing it, it was cool figuring it out an any comments email me. Guitar 1: (maybe w/ little delay + maybe v. fast tremolo-pedal FX an also some sustain effect) Tremolo pick v. fast. Repeat up to 00:41. | listen for down slide @ end of 00:06 slide back up exactly 1 second later | D|-------17-----------1715-------------15/17---------------------| A|-------15-----------1513-------------13/15---------------------| F|-------14-----------1412-------------12/14---------------------| C|----------------------------------------------------------------| G|----------------------------------------------------------------| C|----------------------------------------------------------------| Then at 00:23 the picking changes to single notes played v. fast. When i saw this live, both times, Guitar 1 (Lee) plays something like this by placing 1 finger down on the fret, playing the note an then lifting the finger off so the note doesnt ring out. He then moves onto the next note: (FX are still the same as before) This isnt 100% but it sounds like what was played live an kinda fits. The live ending to the song played at all shows is this: (Normally has a flange effect on over the distortion) D|----------------------------------------------------------------| A|-----10--10h11--10--11/13~--------------------------------------| F|--12------------------------------------------------------------| C|----------------------------------------------------------------| G|----------------------------------------------------------------| C|----------------------------------------------------------------| | Let the slide ring | On the album, the interlude after it is this (this took a while to figure out): (Chorus effect maybe w/ slight flange to create a watery sound after each note so it rings better) D|-----0---------0-----------0---------0-----------0---------0----| A|---------0---------0-----------0---------0-----------0---------0| F|-------2---------2-----------2---------2-----------2---------2--| C|----------------------------------------------------------------| G|-0----------0-----------3---------3-----------0---------0-------| C|----------------------------------------------------------------| D|-----0-----------0-----------0-----------0-----------0----------| A|---------0-----------0-----------0-----------0-----------0------| F|-------2-----------2-----------2-----------2-----------2--------| C|----------------------------------------------------------------| G|-3-----------3--------------------------------------------------| C|-------------------------3-----------3-----------0-----------0--| D|-0-------------0-----------0-----------0-----------0-----------0| A|-----0-------------0-----------0-----------0-----------0--------| F|---2-----2-------2-----------2-----------2-----------2----------| C|----------------------------------------------------------------| G|-----------0-----------0-----------3-----------3----------------| C|-----------------------------------------------------------3----| D|-----------0-----------0-----------0----------------------------| A|---0-----------0-----------0-----------0------------------------| F|-2-----------2-----------2-----------2----2---------------------| C|----------------------------------------------------------------| G|----------------------------------------------------------------| C|-------3-----------0-----------0--------------------------------| Tune repeats an then fades out Thats it, hope, you like it.
