Standard tuning.

This one is a bit difficult to explain in tab... as the guitar chords
aren't really audible very well. I've tried to illustrate the main
progression by lining it up with the lyrics. My best advice is to
listen to the record and pay attention to what the piano and acoustic
guitar play...

The intro guitar is just strumming some kind of a Gm chord. When the
horns kick in, what is going on chord-wise seems to be similar to
the chorus, i.e. Gm - Eb - F. As a transition between Gm and Eb, you
can always throw in an extra F here and in the chorus.

For the verses, this is approximately what I think you'd have to
play to roughly emulate the piano part. Of course you're welcome
to play the main chords instead, which I've noted above the tab.

Gm F Bb
-------------------------------------------
-11------------10-10--------11-11----------
-12------------10-10--------10-10----------
-12------------10-10--------12-12----------
-10----------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------
Here I am baby, right where you found me

Bb F F Cm
-------1---1-------------------------------
-3-----1---1-----10------4-----------------
-3-----2---2-----10------5-----------------
-3-----3---3-----10------5-----------------
-1-----3---3-----8-------3-----------------
-------1---1-------------------------------
Tryin' to break these chains that surround me

(same progression for the 2nd half of the verse:)

If I look a little different, it's 'cause I've changed
Half-painted pictures are all that remains

(bridge:)

Eb Bb F Bb
I can't let my past mistakes
Eb Bb F Eb (?)
Let 'em bring me down
Eb Bb F Bb
I ain't waiting on no angel of mercy
   Eb Bb Eb F
I tried my best, but I can't help myself and I'm

(chorus:)

Gm
Trapped again
  Eb F
I can't get out without losing you, I'm
Gm
Trapped again
    Eb F
Why can't you feel what I'm going through, I'm
Gm
Trapped again
  Eb F
I need an answer, girl, can't you see, I'm
Gm
Trapped again
         Eb F
Come and rescue me...

(followed by this little fill....)

E-----------------
B-11p10h11p10....- (etc.)
G-----------------

(w/ verse chords:)
Monday morning came so fast
What a fool to think that dreams would last
Close my eyes, baby, still so clear
Remember the night, girl, the world disappeared

(w/ bridge chords:)
Can't let the hand of faith
Let it drag me down
I can't get no angel of mercy
I came to stay, but I got swept away

(chorus)

(break)
This section is similar to the intro.

Solo (chorus chords):

(Note: the "etc." means "just wing it and keep repeating the previous
figure a certain number of times")

The song then continues into another bridge and some repetitions of
the chorus which are the same as the corresponding parts earlier on.
Towards the end there's more lead guitar playing, but you'll want to
improvise anyway, right?

Have fun playing!
