Subject: Remember Me by T. Texas Tyler

Someone asked for this one as "Stuart Hamblin's" Remember Me. This is T.
Texas Tyler's Version, as written by Lulubelle &
Scotty from the WLS Barn Dance out of Chicago. Hope this is the right one,
not "Remember me, I'm The One Who Loves You.

                                          Remember Me
Chorus>>

Re-[E] member [A] me, when the candlelights are [E] gleaming,
Remember [B7] me at the close of a long, long [E] day. [E7]
It would be so [A] sweet when all alone, I'm [E] dreaming,
Just to know, you [B7] still remember [E] me.

Verse 1

The sweetest songs belong to [A] lovers in the [E] gloaming,
The sweetest [B7] days are days that used to [E] be,
The saddest words I ever [A] heard were words of [E]parting,
When you said, "sweet-[B7] heart remember [E] me."

Verse 2

You told me once that you were mine alone forever,
And I was yours 'til the end of eternity.
But, all those vows are broken now and we will never,
Be the same except in memory.

Repeat Chorus>>>

Verse 3

A brighter face, may take my place when we're apart, dear,
A sweeter smile and a love more bold and free.
But, in the end fairweather friends may break your heart, dear.
If they do sweetheart, remember me.

Repeat Chorus>>>
