It's been quite a while since I stopped playing guitars back in
my high school years. This Summer I discovered Michael Hedges'
music that changed the way I look at (acoustic) guitars.
It tells me that it's OK to make sounds that don't make sense
to people around me (lots of extended chords and harmonics:)
Now, I find my self listening to a different kind of music and
learning new stuff I never knew existed (thanks for making RMMGA
an enjoyable and informative newsgroup.)

I always love modal tunes. Here is my attempt to transcribe an
easy-listening modal tune by William Ackerman. This TAB is my first
time ever. I'm not sure if it follows any `standard' tabbing
conventions.

BTW, I have a playing-skill related problem with part C (see below.)
I'd like to hear from finger-picking experts out there on how to
practice picking a constant tempo arpeggio with the right-hand
thumb while the rest of the fingers play a separate melodic
pattern (some times in a different tempo.)

"Balancing" by William Ackerman

Album: "It Takes A Year" (WD-1003)
Tuning: DGDGAD (a cross tuning between open-G and D-modal.)
Note: Not drawn to tempo.
The phrasing may not be accurate (kind of oversimplified.)

Here comes those georgeous (tendon buster:) strumming sounds ...
I don't know how to tab these harp-like strumming (slightly slower
than regular strumming) patterns.
The tempo is beyond my musical vocabulary, listen to the record.
