B:----8----10----12----|
G:---------------------|
D:---------------------|
A:---------------------|
E:---------------------|

Note: r1. seems to be an overdubbed part played
over a G7 chord so if you find this to be too
difficult or whatever just play a G7.

Intro:
Cmaj7 D Em7 D
Cmaj7 D A7

Verse 1:
Cmaj7 G
Although she's none the wiser
A7 Cmaj7
Although we've barely met
        G
I could recognize her
         A7 Cmaj7
From the treatment that I get
                   G
So it's my duty to advise her
       A7
If she breaks the rules
     Cmaj7 D
I've said I'll quit though I'll admit
     A7
That hasn't happened yet

Chorus 1:
(N.C.) Cmaj7 D
I believe she's lying
               Em7 D Cmaj7 D
I trust her to undermine my faith in her in time
             Em7 D Cmaj7 D
I have every confidence that she'll dismantle mine
      A7
Given time

Verse 2:
Cmaj7 G
As sure as she is sitting here
A7 Cmaj7
She's sure that she's awake
                 G
And soon as were committing
     A7 Cmaj7
Were admitting our mistake
                       G
So of course it's only fitting
         A7 Cmaj7
That the course we're going to take
             D
Is drawn and whereupon
    A7
I'm slamming on the breaks

Chorus 2:
(N.C.) Cmaj7 D
I believe she's lying
               Em7 D Cmaj7 D
I trust her to undermine my faith in her in time
             Em7 D Cmaj7 D
I have every confidence that she'll dismantle mine
      A7
Given time
       Cmaj7 D
It's a given
      A7 r1.(or n.c.)
Given time

Bridge:

Dm7 A7 Cm7 r1.(or G7)
Dm7 A7 Cm7 r1.(or G7)
Dm7 A7 Cm7 r1.(or G7)
Dm7 A7 Cm7

Verse 3:
Cmaj7 G
The power of suggestion
A7 Cmaj7
The element of chance
                       G
And the subject now in question
       A7 Cmaj7
Is the same old song and dance
                     G
And the time that we invest in
        A7 Cmaj7
Setting traps out in advance
          D
So we can spend the weekend
A7
Staring in a trance

Chorus 3:
(N.C.) Cmaj7 D
I believe she's lying
               Em7 D Cmaj7 D
I trust her to undermine my faith in her in time
             Em7 D Cmaj7 D
I have every confidence that she'll dismantle mine
      A7
Given time
       Cmaj7 D
It's a given
      A7
Given time
       Cmaj7 D
It's a given
      A7 r1.(or n.c.)
Given time

Outro:

Dm7 A7 Cm7 r1.(or G7)
Dm7 A7 Cm7 r1.(or G7)
Dm7 A7 Cm7 r1.(or G7)
Dm7 A7 Cm7 r1.(or G7)
Dm7 A7 Cm7 r1.(or G7)
Dm7 A7 Cm7

Great song. I recommend playing it with bar chords as
opposed to open chords. I'm pretty sure that's how Jon played
it on the album but I'm not totally sure.
