Pilgrims to the City of God
Words and Music by Michael Card, Phil Naish, and Rob Mathes

As near as I can tell, this song is played with the guitar
1) dropped half a step and
2) the low E string dropped an additional step.

The result is this tuning, from low to high: C# G# C# F# A# D#.

I have chosen to write the tab using this tuning, so if you play it in standard
drop-D tuning, you will be 1/2 step higher than the recording.

Because Michael Card plays a right handed guitar upside down, the guitar work
is heavy in the bass strings. You almost have to think upside down to
understand the progressions. Because of this fact, the tab is not perfect to
the recording.

I have had to alter some minor things so I could play it. Anyone who wants to
correct the tab to make it match the recording a little better is welcome to do
so.

Really the chord progressions are D forms (C#m = Dm, F#2 = G2, etc). At least
that was the easiest way for me to play it.

This first two measures are just some ad-libbing with a C#sus chord, then
