Song Title: Dry Town
Transcribed by: David Roy (bigdave32@excite.com)

This song has a lot of hammering and sliding which I'm not going to write
out, but If you listen to the CD, you can figure it out. Its usually a
matter of throwing in 2's and 4's. There is a lot of hammering when playing
A, so I wrote a little about that.

Chords used:

A2: 002200
(a lot of hammering/pulling off of notes in the A scale. Also, bass moves
around from E to F# to A with sliding/hammering/ pulling off. Listen to the
CD to get it exact)
D2/F#: 200230
E: 022100
F#m7(add4): 244200
Bsus4: X24400

Capo 2
Intro: A2

A2
I can feel the sun beating on my face
A2
And my feet are covered with the burning sand
D2/F#
My Garden of Eden has been replaced
A2
By the drought that comes with the desert land

A2
No fruit trees and no river bends
A2
You can walk miles and see no sign of life
D2/F#
But I still believe this drought will end
A2
Even if there are no clouds in sight

E D2/F#
Like a hard rain, in a dry town
E D2/F#
You bring life to, this dead ground
F#m7(add4) Bsus4
And You are hope for this run down
D2/F#
Old dry town

A2
Sometimes I run so far from you
A2
Sometimes I trade my joy for pain
D2/F#
Sometimes I know what I should do
A2
But to follow through I need your strength

E D2/F#
Like a hard rain, in a dry town
E D2/F#
You bring life to, this dead ground
F#m7(add4) Bsus4
And You are hope for this run down
D2/F#
Old dry town

A2 A2 D2/F# A2

E D2/F#
Like a hard rain, in a dry town
E D2/F#
You bring life to, this dead ground
F#m7(add4) Bsus4

D2/F#
Old dry town
