It's a nice mix of the typical Pulp irony-laden pop and stadium rock that lends itself to the Different Class era as much as it does This Is Hardcore. That said it also has lovely, if unexpectedly melancholy, lyrics about lost love. Anybody else detect some McCartney in Jarvis' vocal here? It's pretty simple to play, all the chords are major chords apparently. I play this song entirely with E formation barre chords because this is apparently how the song is played by Mark Webber - otherwise the slides do not work (except for D# which I sometimes play as a power chord) _Effects:_ The verse is played clean but later on distortion and overdrive are introduced. _Tuning:_ This song is played in standard tuning. (EADGBe). Define chords: E - 022100 C# - 9,11,11,10,9,9 G# - 466544 A - 577655 F# - 244322 B - 799877 D# - 11,13,13,12,11,11 OR: D#5 - X113XX (power chord) _Rhythm:_ This song is played in 4/4. / = Slide up = slide down Verse: E - 4 bars / C# - 4 bars E - 2 bars / G# - 2 bars / A - 3 bars A - 2 strums G# - 1 strum F# - 4 bars E - 2 bars / C# - 2 bars B - 4 bars A - 4 bars Bridge: G# - 2 bars / A - 2 bars x3 B - 2 bars D# - 2 bars Chorus: E - 4 bars / G# - 2 bars / A - 2 bars F# - 2 bars / C# - 1 bar B - 1 bar A - 1 bar x3 E ... Then repeat the whole mass again. You can visit my Spiritualized site at http://www.angelfire.com/ok3/electricity/index.html for more information. There is also a guitar tabs section where things like this are exchanged but as this is a Pulp tab it does not fit... Comments or questions should go to gravitygrave_resident@yahoo.com Thanks again...
