Intro

Lyrics:

A river, where many people, have heard, have heard of Its name,
A river, where many people, don't know, don't know from where it came.
A river, which parts, the world of the living to the realm of the dead,
A river, which winds round and round, nine times down into Hades.

It's thought, that Charon, the old ferry man who takes you to Hades,
Crosses, the river, where a dragon-tailed dog, called Cerberus guards,
Buried, with an obol in your mouth, the ferry man just wants his money,
Slowly, around and around, the boat slips through the foul water.

Chorus -  The skeletal hand, waitng for coins,
          Waiting with eternal patience,
The gold crosses hands, the boat starts to move,
You wind down the river, the River Styx.

The mist, keeps hold, keeps hold of your gaze as the water breaks behind you,
You see, your life, in front of you eyes and then gone with a blink,
You stare, at the ferryman, eternally shipping dead souls into Hell,
His gaze, emotionless, no anger, no fear, no love or no hate.

CHORUS

You close, your eyes and pray, to Zeus for forgivness, redemption, not this,
You're scared, your heart in your throat, you'll be face to face with Pluto,
The fear, you're scared, scared to open your eyes, and face what awaits,
You think, you tell yourself, "it's not real, I'll wake up in no time."

CHORUS

The boat, it grinds to a halt, the ferry man turns and stares at you,
Slowly, you slowly get up, your hands cold as ice, your face white as snow,
Deep down, you feel something strange, something you've not felt before,
Trying, trying to scream, but no words have come out, and you accept your fate.

CHORUS
