DON'T TOUCH ME
Recorded by: Jeannie Sealey
Remembered and contributed by Tom Rivers

(Verse 1)
      1 1 27 27
Your hand is like a torch each time you touch me
      4 57 1 1
That look in your eye pulls me apart
      1 1 27 27
Don't open the door to heaven, if I can't come in
        4 57 1 1
Don't touch me, if you don't love me Sweetheart

(Verse 2)
Your kiss is like a drink when I'm thirsty
And I'm thirsty for you with all my heart
Don't love me, then act as though we've never kissed
Don't touch me, if you don't love me Sweetheart

(Chorus)
  4 4m 1 1
Don't give me something that you might take away
    4 4m 27 57
To have you, and then lose you, wouldn't be smart on my part
      1 1 27 27
Don't open the door to heaven if I can't come in
       4 57 1 1
Don't touch me, if you don't love me Sweetheart.

I've tried to put this in the correct font for it to line up properly
(10 point Courier) and placed the chords for each measure in
accordance with the way I phrase the song. If you're not familiar
with the "Nashville Number System," here's an example conversion in
the Key of C:  1  is  C;  27  is  D7;  4  is  F;  4m  is  F minor;
57 is G7. If anyone needs any more help with it, I'll be glad to
help: tipper@hiline.net
