---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CUT MY WINGS – Seasick Steve ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tabbed by: Captain Sensible Email: Seasick Steve website - http://www.seasicksteve.com/ For those of you watching Jules Holland New Year’s Eve’s bash who were blown away by Steve’s performance on his 3 string guitar (his 3 Trance Wonder), here’s a simplified tab one of his keynote songs, Cut My Wings, tabbed from the Belladrum Festival (see 'You Tube' to watch the vid). I’ve tried to come up with a simple way of reproducing this without ripping off 3 of your strings. Basically, downtune your 5th string and ramp up your 6th string so you have two bass G strings. It then kind of works as a hybrid open G tuning but, if you watch the video, you’ll see there’s a lot of improv around this as well. Guitar and amp should be loud with some distortion to get the authentic 'messy' effect.
