Song: Simple Things

Tabbed by: Stevie Hendrix

All songcredits are for Thorn Eleven

This is a great and easy to play song... I didn't tab it perfect for you,

you've still got to figure out some small things...but you'll be able to play the song now!

Tuning... Drop D, then tune down 1 half step.

(Db,Ab,Db,Gb,Bb,Eb)

This is the songs basic riff, this is what it opens with...

Riff 1

-------------------------

-------------------------

-------------------------

0---0-0-0-8-8-5-5-(5)-(5)

0---0-0-0-8-8-5-5-(5)-(5)

|0---0-0-0-8-8-5-5-(5)-(5)| Play 8 times (?)

----

----

----

0---

0---

|0---| Let this chord ring out...

Then, hit when you turned your guitars volume down:

Bb|-15|

and slowly open your volumeknob

Basic verse-riff

Riff 2

---------------------------

---------------------------

---------------------------

---------------------------

-5-------------------------

----8---5h7p5--3-3---0-0---

Play Riff 1

During "I miss the...simple things in life", play:

(You've got to figure out the strumming pattern yourself,

but don't be affraid, it ain't hard)

Riff 3

-----------------------

11-----10-----8--------

10-----10-----7--------

8------10-----5-----3-3

8------8------5-----3-3

8-------------5-----3-3

After the first time you played this, play the same chords again,

but then fool around while toggeling the strings. Below is just a basic

toggle scheme.

|----------------|------------------|-------------------------|

|-----11---------|------10----------|-----8-------------------|

|-----10---------|------10-10----10-|-----7-------------------|

|----------------|---10-------10----|------------------5-5-3-3|

|---8------------|8-----------------|---5--------------5-5-3-3|

|8---------------|------------------|5-----------------5-5-3-3|

Play Riff 1 again.

----

----

|0---| Let this chord ring out...

Play Riff 2

Play Riff 1

Play Riff 3

Play Riff 2 (play 4 times)

Then, Solo:

(Piece of cake, just play the the blues-schemes your learned from your teacher )

note: Bends are full bends!

-----------------8-10~---8-8--------------------

--------------8-------------11-10-8-8s6--6-6s8~~

7b--7------5h7----------------------------------

--------5h7-------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------6--8-8b--8-6-5------

----------------------------------------5h7--------------------

-s7--7-7-s8--8-8-s7--7-7-s5--5-5--7--5h7------------------7s8s7

---------------------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------

so...easy huh? I'm not sure if it's 100% correct, but it's close!

of course, listen for perfect timing!

After solo, let last tone ring...while second guitar plays:

-------------------------

-------------------------

7--------------------0--0

7----8-8------3-3----0--0

5----8-8------3-3----0--0

-----8-8------3-3----0--0

Second time it's played, you join (or, if you didn't play the solo, play both times)

after last chord....wait exact 6 beats... then play

----------

----------

----------

-5-5-3-3-3

-5-5-3-3-3

-5-5-3-3-3

Repeat Riff 1, then after you played 2 times riff 1, they started palm-muting the same riff.

I haven't figure out that strumming patern yet..I'll leave it up to you..

End:

let last chord ring, wait 2 beats:

----------------------

----------------------

----------------------

3--3--0--0----0-0--0-0

3--3--0--0----0-0--0-0

3--3--0--0----0-0--0-0

that shouldn't be that hard...enjoyed it? then play it again!
